Another picture of the effects of the water release. This area was a nice little cove where shad would get driven into by the thousands. Great place to cast for bait. Now high and dry.
By the way, had a great idea over the weekend on a topic for this blog. I'll need a little time to research just how I'm going to handle it. But, once the research is complete...I'll share it with ya'll. Should be fun!

Unbelievable how much they let out. What was the reason for so much?
I think they let out so much in order for the engineers to get a good look at the damage to the dam. And then, from what I heard, the lake will stay this way for up to 3 to 6 months depending on how extensive the damage and repairs are. The good news is the flooding down river wasn't as bad as everyone thought. Thank goodness for that!
